Energy Consumption at Home (doc/pdf). Research Project, Electricity Unit. (Adrienne Fraser, Class of 2014).
A project for grade 9 science students to research an appliance in their home and the energy it consumes, to bring the concepts of energy and electricity into the "real-world". Students will also research how much this energy is costing them, and formulate hypotheses, using what they have learned, about how much energy their house consumes, and how much energy their school consumes. Contains an in-depth analytic rubric for evaluation.
